Counting down 5, 4, 3, no, it’s not Mel Robbins’ 5 Second rule, nor a countdown for a rocket launch.

For the past 24 years I have lived in St. Augustine, Florida. I’ve seen my share of triumphs and heart break, of having beautiful experiences and asking myself questions like: “What the heck was I thinking?”

Overall, I have to say it has been such a blessing to get to have lived in one of the most beautiful places on this earth. Rich in history and natural beauty, I will truly miss the beaches, the Nights of Lights, the historic downtown, and our friends who have become just like family.

We will never forget the goodwill and the kind people who have touched our lives, and it is difficult to say goodbye to so much goodness.

At the same time, we are being called back to California. To not only help my mom, who is not doing well, but to be back in an area that is full of opportunity and promise. There is so much to look forward to as we prepare for this move.

We have four days till we leave, and I keep asking myself how to make the most of the time we have left.  We’ve had dinners out with friends, gone to concerts, had garage sales to reconnect with neighbors, old friends and acquaintances. We’ve gone to theme parks and have gone to all of our favorite spots, and it is still not enough. My primary question seems to be: “How do you make the most of the time you have left?”

One of the things that I have done this past year is to write a goal setting workbook and a vision journal to document and share the tools, practices, and strategies that have brought me to this point in my life. The point where I am living my life on my own terms. It took a long time with a lot of fits and false starts, and a lot of pain and suffering, but I did it!

I created a life that I am proud of, excited about, and that allows me to have so, so much, well, abundance. I figured out a way to make my dreams a reality and if I could do it, you can, too. There is nothing special about me. All I did was work really hard to discover what works and what doesn’t and then implement what I learned.

These tools I created are part of a system I developed that took me from where I was – a lost, sad, and confused stay-at-home mom at age 42 — into a confident, successful martial artist, life coach, writer, artist and business owner. It didn’t happen overnight. But it did happen, and because I took the time to reflect on and write down what I had leared,  I created a system that I could help my family, friends and clients to use in their own lives to make their dreams come true, as well.

The Three Steps That Changed It All

STEP 1– The first part of my system is getting to the truth – the whole truth – not just the truth that you want to focus on. This getting to the truth about how you spend your time and why you spend it that way is the necessary first step to start to change the things you don’t like about your life and recognize the things that you do like. STEP 2 — After you are very clear about your time, the second step is to become very clear about what you want out of life. Many of us do not take the time to sit down, reflect, and understand who we are at this moment in time, nor do we take a breath to consider what it is we really want out of life and who it is we want to hang out with. I created a journal that takes you on a journey of personal discovery. Its title is 52 Weeks of Vision: A Journal of Discovery. You can take 52 weeks, 52 hours, or 52 days — your choice. STEP 3 — The third step of my system is goal planning. Goals are the bridge that takes you from where you are now to where you want to be. In Score: Make The Goals In Your Life Count,  you will learn how to identify, plan and construct a viable map that will help you to make the goals of your life a reality in your life. This step is the most technical and strategy driven of the group, and is your last step that will take you from where you are now to where you want to be. You can learn more about it here.

When I understood and implemented these three steps, consistently, my life transformed, and it wasn’t only my life. The people around me also benefited from this transformation. The tools, insights and wisdom in these three resources I use every single day with my coaching clients and their lives have changed for the better, as well. The key here is consistency. If you keep working the system, you will keep getting amazing results.

Looking back on these 24 years has really humbled me. I have been given so much, and I am so lucky to have recognized it and have found a way to not only give back, but to also help support my family, friends, and clients in a way that will make their lives better – forever.

Here is my product suite as of November 30, 2017! I have more products in the works, but my main priority, right now, is to finish this move and to take care of my mom. I am so lucky that I have helped to create the freedom in which I choose how to run my life and not allow my life to run me.
